These four RINOs could help Dems' impeach efforts
The impeachment Witch Hunt of President Trump continues on Capitol Hill tomorrow. Various media outlets are reporting that four Senate RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) could impact White House calls for a short trial. GOP Senators Lisa Murkowski (AK), Susan Collins (ME), Mitt Romney (UT) and Lamar Alexander (TN) could cast swing votes that help Democrats and harm our Commander-in-Chief.
With 53 Republicans, 45 Democrats and two Independents, it's not likely that 67 Senators -- as required by the Constitution -- will vote to convict the President. But only a simple majority of 51 Senators is needed to set some of the trial rules, including whether or not witnesses can be called.
If those four RINOs vote with Democrats, they could derail Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) efforts to move the trial along quickly. Instead, Democrats might get their way and prolong the baseless and highly partisan impeachment-inquiry Witch Hunt against the President.

THIS is why The Swamp hates Trump
As the impeachment hoax moves to the Senate trial, the Witch Hunt against President Trump has become obvious to millions and millions of Americans. Radical Democrats, the Deep State, the D.C. Swamp, the "Fake News" media, Hollywood's "elite" and NeverTrumpers have been trying to take down our Commander-in-Chief since before he took office. Today, Grassfire staff was reminded of one reason why.
Our exclusive booklet, "Making The Presidency Great Again," includes President Trump's inauguration address. He promised on Day 1 that It's Going to Be "America First" from now on. Our Commander-in-Chief "took the gloves off," attacked the Establishment, and made a promise to We the People. Here's a portion of that speech on January 20, 2017:
"For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government, while the People have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the People did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The Establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country."
Read moreWitnesses in Trump's impeachment trial: Yes or No?
This week, Republican Senators reportedly began discussing a strategy of "witness reciprocity" for President Trump's impeachment trial. The idea is that if Democrats call former Trump national security adviser John Bolton to testify on the Ukraine scandal, then Republicans get to hear from Hunter Biden. Or if Rudy Giuliani takes the stand, so does the so-called "whistleblower."
Since the House voted to impeach our Commander-in-Chief in December, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has been reluctant to add witnesses in the Senate trial. That way, this second Witch Hunt against the President could end as quickly as possible. But now, he's said to be "open" to the idea of letting Democrats call trial witnesses, if the GOP can, too.

Well, it turns out that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) did NOT send the articles of impeachment to the Senate yesterday. Instead, every bit of Wednesday's pomp and circumstance was all for show -- at taxpayer expense!
Gold pens on silver platters engraved with Pelosi's name were given out as souvenirs. Most people understandably thought the Speaker was using those pens to sign the actual articles of impeachment in giant, leather-bound folders. But they were only RESOLUTIONS to transmit the articles to the Senate. The ridiculous processional from one side of the Capitol Building to the other -- delivering the resolutions -- was simply for dramatic effect.
The office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) notified Grassfire: "Speaker Pelosi signed impeachment papers, which were then delivered to the Senate as a message from the House." (Emphasis theirs.) As of 10:48 a.m. ET this morning, the Upper Chamber was "still waiting to receive the Articles of Impeachment." (Emphasis theirs.)

Just minutes ago, Grassfire received an email directly from the Trump campaign notifying us that the President's impeachment trial will begin NEXT WEEK. Here's an excerpt from BREAKING: Impeachment moves to Senate:
The Do Nothing Democrats finally did something - they just voted to send their bogus Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate. The Senate Impeachment Trials will officially begin next week. ...
Why should I have the stigma of IMPEACHMENT attached to my name? I DID NOTHING WRONG. READ THE TRANSCRIPT!
These Impeachment Trials are going to be a test of our resolve. The attacks will be nasty and the lies will only get worse. Remember, they’re not after me, they’re after YOU. ...
The Radical Democrats are asking Mitch McConnell to do the job that they FAILED to do. But, Mitch knows the truth - he knows I DID NOTHING WRONG. Despite the most unfair and biased hearing in our Nation’s history, the House proved NOTHING but my innocence.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already achieved what she and so many other radical Democrats want: IMPEACHMENT. So why has she still not released the two articles of impeachment (abuse of power and obstruction of Congress) against President Trump so the Senate trial can begin?
"The President is impeached for life, regardless of any gamesmanship on the part of Mitch McConnell," Pelosi told ABC News' "This Week" on Sunday. "We’re confident in the impeachment, and we think that it is enough testimony to remove him from office. However, we want the American people to see the truth."
Oh, really, Madame Speaker? If you’re so dedicated to revealing the "truth," then why have you held the articles of impeachment for nearly four weeks? Also, she has a lot of nerve accusing McConnell of possible "gamesmanship" when she’s been "gaming" the Constitution by abusing power and obstructing Congress herself!

On Saturday (see below), we told you about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) FINALLY giving in to pressure and setting a Tuesday meeting to discuss releasing the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. Grassfire has been closely monitoring the news today to see if she REALLY is going to send those articles to the Senate this week.
The Speaker waited for more than a year to bring the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement to the House floor for a vote. In fact, Pelosi held the vote the day after the House impeached President Trump. It was a calculated attempt to "mute" a significant economic and foreign-policy accomplishment for America's Commander-in-Chief.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appears to have caved to pressure from Republicans and a growing number of Senate Democrats. She has set a Tuesday meeting to consult with House Democrats regarding how to proceed with releasing the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. In a letter to colleagues yesterday, she wrote:
I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate.
Her decision came amid increasing calls by several Democrat Senators to "get on with it." Also, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced a resolution on Monday to empower the Senate to dismiss the articles of impeachment for lack of prosecution. Several GOP Senators supported the resolution, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Unfortunately, our source in Washington, D.C. was wrong about the articles of impeachment being released to the Senate yesterday. It didn't happen and, apparently, may not for quite some time.
In a shocking and infuriating revelation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reportedly decided to delay the release of the articles NEARLY TWO WEEKS BEFORE the House impeachment vote even took place! A Time magazine article released today explains:
Pelosi, according to an aide, had been mulling the tactic since she heard former Nixon White House counsel John Dean float the idea on CNN on Dec. 5. In the committee meeting, she added that she believed McConnell would be motivated to move. "Somebody said to me today that he may not even take up what we send. [But] then [Trump] will never be vindicated," she said, according to the aide in the room. "He will be impeached forever. Forever. No matter what the Senate does." (Emphasis added.)

A Grassfire contact in Washington, D.C. says: "The articles [of impeachment] are heading to the Senate Wednesday." If that information is correct, Democrats have decided to stop playing political games and move on with the impeachment trial of President Trump. Earlier today, we reported that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says Republicans "have the votes" to move ahead on the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. That is, once House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) finally decides to release the two articles of impeachment (one for abuse of power and the other for obstruction of Congress) that were passed on December 18, 2019.
