STEP 1 -- Here's what happened. First, the Chief Justice refused to read Sen. Paul's question because, although not naming him as the "whistleblower," Paul's question included the name of the person everyone knows is the whistleblower:
STEP 2 -- After this, Sen. Paul left the floor of the Senate and help a press conference, in which he read the entirety of the question and then posed the obvious question: if even Adam Schiff doesn't know who the whistleblower is, how can we know, and how can a question naming a person who may be material to the trial regardless of whether he is the whistleblower, not be allowed? Here is Paul's response:
