TAKE ACTION: Articles delivery ridiculous, overly dramatic
After four weeks of trying to force the Senate to do the House's job, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) finally sent two articles of impeachment to the Upper Chamber. Yesterday, House Democrats literally carried the articles for "abuse of power" and "obstruction of Congress" from one side of the Capitol to another in a ridiculous and overly dramatic processional. (Watch it here.)
The third impeachment trial of a U.S. president is expected to start next week. Pelosi's month-long haranguing of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was over allowing additional witnesses at the trial. McConnell insisted that the Senate was not going to do the House's "homework" for them.
Days before the House voted to remove President Trump from office, McConnell called the Democrat-led Witch Hunt "the most rushed, least thorough, and most unfair impeachment inquiry in modern history." Thankfully, to Trump supporters, he has refused to enable what he also called a "predetermined end of a partisan crusade." Click here to fax Senators now.

Just minutes ago, Grassfire received an email directly from the Trump campaign notifying us that the President's impeachment trial will begin NEXT WEEK. Here's an excerpt from BREAKING: Impeachment moves to Senate:
The Do Nothing Democrats finally did something - they just voted to send their bogus Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate. The Senate Impeachment Trials will officially begin next week. ...
Why should I have the stigma of IMPEACHMENT attached to my name? I DID NOTHING WRONG. READ THE TRANSCRIPT!
These Impeachment Trials are going to be a test of our resolve. The attacks will be nasty and the lies will only get worse. Remember, they’re not after me, they’re after YOU. ...
The Radical Democrats are asking Mitch McConnell to do the job that they FAILED to do. But, Mitch knows the truth - he knows I DID NOTHING WRONG. Despite the most unfair and biased hearing in our Nation’s history, the House proved NOTHING but my innocence.

Pelosi: "The President is impeached for life"
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already achieved what she and so many other radical Democrats want: IMPEACHMENT. So why has she still not released the two articles of impeachment (abuse of power and obstruction of Congress) against President Trump so the Senate trial can begin?
"The President is impeached for life, regardless of any gamesmanship on the part of Mitch McConnell," Pelosi told ABC News' "This Week" on Sunday. "We’re confident in the impeachment, and we think that it is enough testimony to remove him from office. However, we want the American people to see the truth."
Oh, really, Madame Speaker? If you’re so dedicated to revealing the "truth," then why have you held the articles of impeachment for nearly four weeks? Also, she has a lot of nerve accusing McConnell of possible "gamesmanship" when she’s been "gaming" the Constitution by abusing power and obstructing Congress herself!

Will Pelosi REALLY release impeachment articles?
On Saturday (see below), we told you about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) FINALLY giving in to pressure and setting a Tuesday meeting to discuss releasing the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. Grassfire has been closely monitoring the news today to see if she REALLY is going to send those articles to the Senate this week.
The Speaker waited for more than a year to bring the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement to the House floor for a vote. In fact, Pelosi held the vote the day after the House impeached President Trump. It was a calculated attempt to "mute" a significant economic and foreign-policy accomplishment for America's Commander-in-Chief.

Pelosi CAVES!
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appears to have caved to pressure from Republicans and a growing number of Senate Democrats. She has set a Tuesday meeting to consult with House Democrats regarding how to proceed with releasing the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. In a letter to colleagues yesterday, she wrote:
I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate.
Her decision came amid increasing calls by several Democrat Senators to "get on with it." Also, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) introduced a resolution on Monday to empower the Senate to dismiss the articles of impeachment for lack of prosecution. Several GOP Senators supported the resolution, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Pelosi delaying so Trump "will be impeached forever"
Unfortunately, our source in Washington, D.C. was wrong about the articles of impeachment being released to the Senate yesterday. It didn't happen and, apparently, may not for quite some time.
In a shocking and infuriating revelation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reportedly decided to delay the release of the articles NEARLY TWO WEEKS BEFORE the House impeachment vote even took place! A Time magazine article released today explains:
Pelosi, according to an aide, had been mulling the tactic since she heard former Nixon White House counsel John Dean float the idea on CNN on Dec. 5. In the committee meeting, she added that she believed McConnell would be motivated to move. "Somebody said to me today that he may not even take up what we send. [But] then [Trump] will never be vindicated," she said, according to the aide in the room. "He will be impeached forever. Forever. No matter what the Senate does." (Emphasis added.)

SOURCE: Release of impeachment articles imminent!
A Grassfire contact in Washington, D.C. says: "The articles [of impeachment] are heading to the Senate Wednesday." If that information is correct, Democrats have decided to stop playing political games and move on with the impeachment trial of President Trump. That means, grassroots patriots who support our Commander-in-Chief MUST make their voices heard now! See the urgent message below, or click here to take immediate action. --Grassfire
Earlier today, we reported that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) says Republicans "have the votes" to move ahead on the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. That is, once House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) finally decides to release the two articles of impeachment (one for abuse of power and the other for obstruction of Congress) that were passed on December 18, 2019.
Read moreMcConnell: "We have the votes"
Late yesterday afternoon, news broke that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will NOT broker an impeachment trial deal with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). McConnell told reporters, "We have the votes, once the impeachment trial has begun, to pass a resolution essentially the same, very similar to the 100-to-nothing vote in the [1999] Clinton trial."
National Public Radio reports:"The decision to move ahead with the rules puts new pressure on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to release the House-passed articles of impeachment so that a trial may begin. ... Democrats had hoped to persuade some moderate Republicans, like Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Mitt Romney, R-Utah, to push for a bipartisan process."

A tale of three RINOs
There are three Senate RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) who can directly impact the impeachment trial of President Trump -- even before it starts! Senators Lisa Murkowski (AK), Susan Collins (ME) and Mitt Romney (UT) could be three swing votes that help Democrats and harm our Commander-in-Chief.
The Constitution requires 67 votes for the Senate to impeach a president. But a simple majority of 51 Senators is needed to set some of the rules for a trial, including whether or not witnesses can be called after it begins.

McConnell: House Democrats Continue to Play Political Games With Their Partisan Impeachment
‘My Democratic colleagues should not plow away American unity in some bizarre intramural competition to see who dislikes our president more. They should not disdain our Constitution by rushing through a purely partisan impeachment process and then toying around with it. Governing is serious business. The American people deserve better than this.’
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) delivered the following remarks today on the Senate floor regarding impeachment:
‘Now meanwhile, at this dangerous time, House Democrats continue to play political games with their partisan impeachment of the commander-in-chief.

McConnell standing tall in impeachment fight!
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) continues to demand the Senate follow her rules for the impeachment trial of President Trump. Thankfully, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is standing tall. On Thursday, from the Senate floor, he insisted that the House was NOT going to tell the Upper Chamber how to run their trial:
"No member of this body needs condescending lectures on fairness from the House Democrats who just rushed through the most unfair impeachment in modern history, or lectures on impartiality from senators who happily prejudged the case with President Clinton. … President Trump should get the same treatment that every single senator thought was fair for President Clinton."
